A Message From Chair - re COVID-19

Dear Ladies, Families and Well-wishers

I hope that you are all reasonably well, keeping safe and in good health as per Public Health England (PHE) guidelines, during this new reality of COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My heart goes out to those who have lost their livelihood and especially those of us who have experienced loss of loved ones. May their souls rest in eternal peace. It is a trying time for us all and has thus far been particularly emotional for many.

As members of the wider community, please keep in touch with each other to ensure that our relations and friends are not struggling alone during this crisis. Your call could save lives.

I cannot forget to mention those of us who are going above and beyond to keep up the fight against this pandemic; especially in the NHS and all those who are critical to the Covid-19 response plus those delivering essential public services within the country. A resounding thanks from my executive and me.

Stay safe, be true and look after each other. Keep following the guidelines from PHE. We pray that our faith will carry us through this period and beyond.

About The School

Trinity College Nabbingo

Trinity College Nabbingo (TRICONA) was founded in 1942 by the White Fathers, a Roman Catholic society of apostolic life. TRICONA was established, as an all-girls boarding secondary school: Senior 1 - 6 (age 12 - 18) in central Uganda. This was after realising that the secondary education of Catholic girls needed to be addressed as well.

The college is located on a hill in the village of Nabbingo, in Wakiso District. This location lies approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi), by road, southwest of Kampala, Uganda’s capital and largest city. This location lies off the Kampala-Masaka Highway.

Objectives & Mission:

To produce educated women who are “morally upright”, “academically sound”, “socially and physically capable” of serving God and their country.

To Date:

The school has renovated most of the older buildings and built new, storied, larger and modern classes and laboratory for senior two with health and safety in mind. Alongside that there is a modern sports field with lawn tennis, basket ball and wood ball courts as well as a football field. A new school bus was acquired to further improve the students’ academic and social life. Many new trees have been planted as well for environmental benefits.
